InvoiceWall Now Works Offline — Install It Like an App
Big update: InvoiceWall is now a full offline-capable app you can install on your phone, tablet, or computer. No app store, no download size, no account — and it works even when you have no internet connection at all.
What's new
- Install to your home screen or desktop — InvoiceWall now behaves like a native app: its own icon, its own window, instant startup.
- Works fully offline — once you've visited the site once, every tool keeps working without a connection: create invoices, receipts, payslips, quotes, and download PDFs.
- App shortcuts — long-press the icon (Android) or right-click it (desktop) to jump straight to "New Invoice" or "History".
How to install
On Android (Chrome, Brave, Edge): open [invoicewall.com](https://www.invoicewall.com), and tap Install when the prompt appears — or use the browser menu → "Install app".
On iPhone / iPad: open InvoiceWall in Safari, tap the Share button, then choose "Add to Home Screen".
On desktop (Chrome, Brave, Edge): click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or use the browser menu → "Install InvoiceWall".
That's it. No sign-up, no permissions, no notifications you didn't ask for.
Why offline matters for freelancers
Invoicing doesn't wait for good Wi-Fi. With the installed app you can:
- Write an invoice at a job site with no signal and hand your client the PDF on the spot
- Create a receipt in a client meeting without hunting for a hotspot
- Invoice while travelling — on a plane, on a train, anywhere
Everything you create offline is saved on your device and is right there when you're back online.
The privacy angle: local-first by design
Here's the part we're proudest of. Most invoice tools work offline by *syncing later* — your client names, addresses, and billing amounts still end up on their servers.
InvoiceWall is different: there is no server. Your documents are created and stored entirely on your device. Offline mode isn't a feature we added — it's a consequence of how InvoiceWall is built:
- Invoices are stored in your browser's local storage
- PDFs are generated on your device, not in a cloud
- The optional [Google Drive backup](/history) goes to *your own* Drive, nowhere else
Your business is your business. Nothing to breach, nothing to sell, nothing to subpoena.
